I am a composer, trumpet player and I have been private teaching for over a decade. Also, I've taught classes and clinics at the “The Potter’s House Church of Dallas”, the “Texas Music Educator’s Association" convention and for public school districts. I also conduct online classes based on the fundamentals of music, but geared towards musicians with a background in playing and signing in a gospel church environment.

For 7 years, I served as the orchestra director at Cornerstone Baptist Church in Arlington, Texas where I wrote around 500 small orchestra arrangements. I graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Texas at Arlington in May 2008 with a B.M. in jazz studies. I am now currently enrolled at Texas Christian University in pursuit of the Master's in Music Composition while serving as the Graduate Assistant for the Jazz Department

I've had the honor of sharing the stage with musicians such as Randy Brecker, The Las Colinas Symphony, Sandi Patti, Dave Pietro, Kari Jobe, Kathy Taylor and many more. My husband and I also record from our home studio, and we've done horn section recordings for artists such as Lamar Campbell, Norman Hutchins and Earl Bynum.

I write concert band, jazz band, gospel horns, brass and chamber ensemble pieces for college level performers, but also for school bands and church orchestras with a broad range of ability as well. I am the winner of the 2015 Noteflight Big Band Composition Contest and my concert band arrangement "And it Begins" recently won the Band Division award for the 2015 TMEA Composition Contest for College Students. I live in the DFW area with my husband and closest friend, Jonathan Woodrow.
